The Export Advisory Service provides impartial one-to-one advice to help you understand overseas business practices and make the most of the services and support available, so you have the knowledge and skills to trade successfully in international markets.
Our export advisers will help you make the move into exporting or increase your exporting activity. They will get to know your business, your ambition for growth, and will then recommend the best course of action.
The Export Advisory Service will provide up to two days of advice (14 hours) to between 48-55 new and early-stage exporters which will include advice, international planning, signposting and the completion of an International Action Plan.
The main objective of the advice is to help Highlands and Islands based organisations commence or increase international sales and identify new market opportunities. Depending on your exporting status this could include help with:
• researching and defining your markets
• preparing your products for markets
• identifying international e-commerce opportunities
• getting out to markets to meet potential buyers and create those all-important trade partners.
This is a free service and the advice is delivered virtually by video call or by phone.
This service is available to any small to medium sized enterprises based in the Highlands and Islands region who are at the start of their exporting journey.
