A leaflet and website has been created to help people follow the art trail of venues through Grantown and the surrounding area, including Dulnain Bridge.
The event has been funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and Grantown Business Association, which has also provided organisational support.
Organising artist Joanna Wilson said: “I wanted to encourage and support the wealth of local creative talent, and an open studio event felt like the perfect way to do that. We are delighted that Highlands and Islands Enterprise could support us in getting this event off the ground.
“Opening studio doors is about more than showcasing art – it’s about connecting artists and the community, sharing the passion, process, and stories that shape each work. This event is an invitation to step into our world.”
Karen Martin, chair of Grantown Business Association, said: “Our creative community has come to the fore of the town’s economy in recent years with the opening of new galleries. They have added to the vibrancy of the High Street and Grantown Business Association is delighted that to have played a major part in turning this idea into a reality.
“I would encourage people to take up this fantastic opportunity to explore Grantown and learn about our local artists and maybe even pick up some tips for their own art.”
Brian Robson, senior development manager at HIE’s Inner Moray Firth team, said: “We are very pleased to support Grantown Initiative in delivering the Open Studios event. The project will significantly enhance the visibility of local artists in the Grantown area and we are expecting it to attract more visitors. By showcasing the rich artistic talent in the community, it will create a vibrant cultural scene and stimulate local economic growth.”
