Companies of all sectors thinking of exporting for the first time or in the early stages of exporting are invited along An Lòchran, Inverness Campus, 15 and 16 February.
The two-day workshop is interactive and fast-moving and will enable delegates to walk away with a fully-formulated action plan to take their business into exporting.
Key areas covered on the day include, looking at suitable exporting opportunities, identifying target markets, and dealing with basic legal issues such as protecting intellectual property.
Gillian Macgregor, development manager at HIE, said: “The workshop offers invaluable tools, expertise and insights to help develop export capabilities and grow business. It will help expand expertise in all aspects of international business and allow export plans to be developed to help grow the company.
“The workshop will ensure that those who take part, leave with the skills and confidence to succeed in overseas markets.”
Martin Johnson, HIE’s regional head of sectors, inward investment and international trade, added: “At HIE, our role is to help businesses get the information, advice and support they need to “Brexit-proof” themselves and reach out to the world. Through our programme of events businesses can find out about market opportunities in countries that might be of interest to them and how to go about pursuing these opportunities.”
The course will be delivered by David Gass, a consultant who specialises in international trade. He has developed and delivered an extensive range of export training courses and workshops for a wide variety of businesses across industry sectors.
