Tritonia Scientific Ltd (TSL), founded in 2018, was set up as a commercial development from the UK’s National Facility for Scientific Diving. Although originally diving-centric, the company has rapidly evolved to deliver a range of technology-based solutions that address project needs in the sub-tidal and inter-tidal environments. The company also owns and manages one of the three NHS-registered emergency recompression centres in Scotland.

The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) works in collaboration with regional businesses, entrepreneurs, public and 3rd sector organisations to develop commercially and clinically successful Health and Life Sciences Innovations.
Since 2015 more than 120 innovation projects involving over 60 academic collaborators and over 50 commercial partners have generated £30m in new research income.
