HIE’s Elaine Jamieson invites aquaculture supply chain companies to get involved the world’s premier event for the sector.
It would be very hard to overstate the importance of Aqua Nor to Scotland’s aquaculture supply chain.
It’s the world’s largest aquaculture technology exhibition, bringing together the latest products, processes and services. It’s also a focal point for new customers and investors.
This brings fantastic opportunities for our supply chain companies to showcase to a global audience and make new business connections.
That’s why we’re returning to the event for a third time, and why we’re urging supply chain companies to get involved in one or more of the following ways:
In 2023 every participant from Scotland reported that their organisation benefited from attending the show, with more than half saying it led to more sales and new customers.
We’re already looking forward to another national pavilion to promote Scottish businesses at Aqua Nor 2025 in August.
It’s important that our country has a strong presence. There was a real buzz around the stand in 2023 and we’re out to build on that.
The pavilion will be an inviting and sociable space. Pods on the outer rim will give maximum visibility for businesses and the open central space will be ideal for networking, giving exhibitors great opportunities to make connections and build new commercial relationships.
As we saw in 2023, the pavilion also draws enquiries that we can signpost to businesses at and after the show. This year we want to do even better, and that’s what our ‘Scotland at Aqua Nor’ brochure is all about.
Rather than waiting for the show to start, beforehand we’ll have an online brochure to promote the businesses and products and services that will be at Aqua Nor 2025. The brochure will reinforce Scotland’s position as an innovative nation.
All of this is made possible with support from the Scottish Government’s Marine Fund. This was set up to help deliver Scotland’s Blue Economy Vision for use and management of Scotland’s marine environment and ‘blue’ resources.
I’m also delighted that the Sustainable Aquaculture Innovation Centre have again agreed to be our delivery partner. Their complementary expertise and networks broaden our reach and delivery capacity, which helps ensure Scotland’s businesses and research community benefits from all the opportunities the show offers.
So, if you’d like to be featured in the brochure, or indeed if you’re interested in the last couple of remaining pods do get in touch by registering your interest. We’d love to have you onboard.
