Tiree Wave Classic makes welcome return
This weekend sees the beginning of the 2008 Tiree Wave Classic windsurfing competition part funded this year by a £15,000 grant from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE). Other funding partners include Event Scotland and Argyll and Bute Council. The event is seen as the premier wave event in Europe and runs from October 11 -18 2008.

Million pound investment in future Scottish hospitality leaders Applications are now open for the 2009 Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland Emerging Talent Scholarships.
