Business investment

We can provide financial support to businesses that:

• are undertaking capital investment
• create jobs
• do not displace other local businesses

Support is typically in the range of 5% to 35%, and can be in a variety of forms:

• loan
• grant
• equity
• interest relief grant

Financial assistance is offered on a discretionary basis, with each application being considered on its merits.  A detailed business plan will be requested, and assessment of the application will include consideration of the following:

• track record of principals
• availability of private sector funding
• market and competition
• job creation

Please note that you should not commit yourself to the project costs prior to a formal AIE decision on assistance as that would disqualify your application.
