Caithness Voluntary Group are hosting a Cyber Sense session on Wed 27th Feb, open to all.
11:45 Tea/Coffee on arrival
12:00-13:00 Cyber Sense Interactive Game
Are you game?
This session will focus on “Phishing”. We'll teach the anatomy of a phishing emails in an interactive competitive environment and allow the audience to create their own.
These are real threats and real people are getting caught out every day. As hackers get more sophisticated, we all need to know how to spot the threats.
The game is the result of a successful Government funded program around the high schools of Scotland during Q1 2018. Its purpose is to use a fusion of technology and teaching to allow audiences to experience aspects of cyber attacks, learn to spot them and assume the role of an attacker to better protect themselves and their companies.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Business Gateway / COSLA are working together to raise awareness of Cyber Security risks and what businesses can do to protect themselves. This programme is supported by the Scottish Government.
This event is organised and supported by Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the Scottish Government's economic and community development agency for the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Find out more at www.hie.co.uk
