Centre for health sciences – Facilities Management

HIE requires a supplier who will provide a Facilities Management company for the Centre for Health Science who will operate within the facility.

The objectives of the contract are to provide the following services in the HIE area:

1 Cleaning (both standard and clinical)
2 Security
3 Meeting/Event management (including room booking)
4 Estate Management and Maintenance
5 Reception and Support services

The successful contractor will be able to demonstrate capability in the following areas:

  • Event and meeting organisation 
  • Track record of cleaning to NHS standard for clinical areas
  • Administration of all money generated
  • Handling of all potentially hazardous materials ie gas, clinical waste etc
  • Track Record of maintaining a building and surrounding ground (both internal and external) 
  • Track record of having responsibility of all relevant documentation and procedures ie Health and Safety, First Aid etc
  • Track Record of working within a multi-tenant building 
  • The resource available to provide security of the building 365 days a year
  • Provision of both planned and ad-hoc maintenance
  • Provision of a room booking system
